This Mission: Impossible theme song cover by Pantera is way better than the one by Panera. I'm sorry, but sticking your hands in two bread bowls and knocking them together doesn't make you a musician; it makes you unsanitary.
3. Hong Kong Phooey - Sublime
There's a certain unique feeling when you discover that there exists a fully-mixed Sublime song that you've never heard before...and it's a cover of a Saturday morning cartoon that only lasted sixteen episodes. In a word: bliss.
4. The Banana Splits Adventure Hour - The Dickies
To anyone who discovered this cover by the Dickies thanks to 2010's Kick-Ass...sorry, but you're about thirty years late to the game. And if listening to this song makes you want to seek out the original TV show, well, I hate to break it to you, but it's terrible. Sorry.
5. Gilligan's Island - Bowling for Soup
This pop-punk cover of the Gilligan's Island intro was actually recorded for some godforsaken TBS show, titled The Real Gilligan's Island.
The program was not a success, perhaps because Survivor just slightly beat them to the punch on the "reality show that strands a bunch of strangers on a remote island" concept...by eight seasons.
6. Spider-Man - The Ramones
Wow, I'm amazed this cover by The Ramones still exists. I was certain that the lameness of emo Peter Parker in Spider-Man 3 would have destroyed any of the character's associated awesomeness forever.
7. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - PelleK
This Power Rangers cover was so metal, I couldn't help but uncontrollably pump my fist in the air.
...Unfortunately, I accidentally punched my coworker. Don't feel too bad, though. I'm pretty sure he was a Putty, anyway.
8. The Simpsons - Green Day
For the soundtrack of The Simpsons Movie, Green Day recorded this loving tribute to our favorite family. It's so badass, the Gracie Films woman couldn't even muster up the courage to shush them.
9. The Muppet Show - OK Go
Sometimes even the Muppets need help going viral. Thankfully, OK Go was happy to lend their support in this 2011 video.
Unfortunately, there's no shot of Muppets running on treadmills. Something about not having feet?
10. DuckTales - Nick Protonotarios
The Internet is a wonderful place. How else could a guy from Greece produce an amazing cover song of the DuckTales theme in his bedroom...and yet receive 0.003% of the views received by a baby biting his brother's finger?
11. Batman - The Flaming Lips
I love this song. Can never remember the lyrics, though.
12. Reading Rainbow - Jimmy Fallon (as Jim Morrison)
Hey, do you think LeVar Burton could Kickstart a Reading Rainbow covers tour of deceased musicians? I'm dying to hear that "In a Balloon" covered by Frank Zappa.
13. The Golden Girls - K. John Stewart
In the year 2045, when Golden Girls inevitably gets remade (after being selected by the all-knowing Content Idea Generator Algorithm), this theme song will be a perfect fit to establish the elderly, death-metal-loving protagonists.
...Of course, Content Idea Generator Algorithm already knew that. All hail Content Idea Generator Algorithm.
14. Underdog - Butthole Surfers
This is a rousing cover and wonderful tribute to America's favorite underdog.
...Well, second favorite if you count Eli Manning.
15. Pokémon - Powerglove
Needing a midday pick-me-up, Guff.com used Powerglove's Pokémon theme song rendition. It was super effective.
16. Doctor Who - ArcAttack
And finally, we arrive at what might be the most badass TV theme song cover of them all. Sure, there aren't any guitars, drums or vocals, but what could be more metal than an extremely dangerous stage stunt, performed solely for the sake of visual spectacle?
(...Oh, and there's some pretty good music to go along with it, too.)
