The owner of the restaurant, Tony Ambrosio, says that he requires employees to write the name of the customer on their check, which he believes "personalizes their visit." Well, Arnold's visit certainly got a little too personal.
T.J. also apologized to Arnold on a social media post: "What I did was immature and I acted without thinking about the consequences. I acted in a way that was rude, childish and totally inappropriate. Due to my actions, I was terminated, rightly so."
Hats off to Ambrosio for putting his foot down against body shaming, as well as to Ambrosio Jr. for copping to his mistake and apologizing. But these actions shouldn't have been necessary, because body shaming just shouldn't happen in the first place.
