It's a cloud. It's a lamp. And it can be yours, with some surprisingly easy DIY.
Youtuber TiffyQuake shared how to make this beaut, with easy-to-follow instructions. First, you're going to need some lanterns with a variety of sizes and shapes.
Obviously, you're going to need lots of cotton. Use your hands to fluff them up. They don't call it the fabric of our lives for nothing.
You're also going to need a glue gun. But if you're that deep into DIY, you ALWAYS need a glue gun.
You'll need clear string so that it looks like your cloud is floating by itself. You could also use fishing line, or whatever they use on stage productions of Peter Pan. Probably.
TiffyQuake also recommends LED Curtain Lights because they're easy to string through the clouds. This whole project is easy, we promise!
With your trusty glue gun, apply hot glue to the outside of the lanterns. Then start sticking the cotton onto the glue until they're covered.
To hold up the cloud, TiffyQuake recommends a wooden dowel. Tie your clear string around it.
Next, tie the dowel to a hook. The frosty pink manicure is optional.
Tie the cotton-covered lanterns into the dowel, using varying lengths depending on the shape you want your cloud to be. You can always adjust it.
This one cloud is made out of SEVERAL lanterns. But you'd never know looking at it from a distance!
Now you can pull your LED lights through the cloud's base. Things are really coming together!
And there you have it. Now no one can ever accuse your room of not having any whimsy.
Perfect for people who love the LOOK of thunderstorms, but none of that pesky real rain.
