Sure, sometimes you want to sprawl out spread-eagle in bed, and sometimes it's 100 degrees in the summer and your partner's body seems to be radiating an extra 1000 degrees. Maybe he or she even kicks you gently, but consistently, every few hours, preventing full REM cycle sleep.
But there's nothing like bumping stray limbs in the middle of the night with someone you love, reminding your chaotic subconscious that you are crazy lucky, and that the terrifying clown nightmare isn't real.
Going out and KNOWING you're going to have a good time (and probably get lucky afterwards if you want!) is just one beautiful thing about being in love. No creepers at the bar and no pressure to talk to people you don't like; just dancing, drinking and talking with your boo.
Now you've got a best friend and partner to help you get through whatever awkward family dinner without screaming at someone. And further, you get to peek into the dark and intimate underbelly of your S.O.'s family too. It's like Netflix, but for free.
You two can talk about how nice it would be to wake up early enough to share a French press pot of coffee at this gorgeous table while sunshine streams in through this very nice window at this very expensive apartment that you two will likely never be able to afford to live in.
Dreams aren't so sad when you share them with your equally broke lover.
