Stranger Things season two is almost upon us. Everyone's excited to see what will happen in the new episodes. A huge part of the show's success is the insanely talented cast. They embody the spirit and look of the '80s, but what do they look like when they live in the present?
Eleven had to be the breakout star of the show. How many Halloween costumes did you see of her last year? You'll likely see even more this year. But if you saw the actress that portrayed her out and about, you likely wouldn't recognize her.
Finn Wolfhard may play a nerd onscreen, but he's cool as ice in real life. He recently appeared in the film It. Something about this kid just screams, "Put me in retro scary projects that make people say 'nope.'"
Gaten Matarazzo doesn't look as strange as the character he portrays, but he does actually have cleidocranial dysplasia. He is happy to bring attention to this condition, which causes people to be born without a collarbone. He has a mild form of it, but has still needed several surgeries, as it affected his facial, skull and teeth growth.
Noah Schnapp isn't the pale, sickly character he plays in Stranger Things. In fact, he initially auditioned for the role of Mike. He didn't get it, but the show creators, the Duffer Brothers, saw talent in him and personally called to let him know he won another part.
Nancy Wheeler starts off as a bit of a stock character. She's the shy but pretty high school student that falls in love with the bad boy. However, she becomes a badass and leads the charge to help save her brother and his friends.
In real life, Natalia Dyer isn't such a shy tomboy. She's glamorous and sophisticated. She said she was happy to nab this role, as it gave her the opportunity to portray a very well-rounded and fleshed out female character.
