Created by Julian McFaul in 2012, Adventures in Cardboard works the body AND the mind. Kids are using their imaginations to design, then they're on their feet crafting, then they're on their feet again playing/exploring the world they've created.
Parents can rest easy knowing that the counselors make sure the kids play safely. McFaul told Minnesota Parent Magazine, "Safe sword tag is actually just as safe as any sport when played with integrity. So our biggest goal in keeping play safe is teaching our kids to respect the rules."
It can be hard work, running around in cardboard in the middle of the summer. The counselors make sure that the kids have plenty of time to cool off, including swim breaks supervised by certified lifeguards (Minnesota Parent).
