Cutting up sheets of foil is an easy way to sharpen your scissors. So this will solve the problem if your scissors have gotten dull...unless they're dull because they go to bed at 8:30 and never leave the house.
Have food or ingredients in a plastic bag that you need to keep fresh in the long term? Using foil and an iron can seal that bag air tight. Just place foil over the opening, then iron the foil (but make sure the iron doesn't touch the actual plastic itself).
If you don't have an actual funnel, you can create one out of foil. A foil funnel can sometimes even be more effective than a plastic one, since you can fold it into whatever shape and direction is needed.
If you're out of AA batteries but have some extra AAAs lying around, you can put foil on the battery tips as a temporary solution. Because getting out of your chair to add some foil to batteries is still easier than getting out of your chair to change the channel.
Got large pieces of furniture you need to move around your house? Instead of carrying it, put some foil under the legs and just slide it around. But put the non-shiny side on the bottom, because it's more slippery.
