Mila Kunis was born in 1983 in Chernivtsi in the Ukrainian SSR of the Soviet Union. Her full name is Milena Markovna Kunis. When she was seven years old her family moved to the United States and they settled in Los Angeles.
You may have noticed that in most of the scenes that she filmed with Laura Prepon in That ‘70s Show they were sitting down. This was because Laura is much taller than Mila and they needed to even them out. When they couldn’t get away with this, they would put Mia in platform shoes for some extra height.
When she was only 9 years old her parents enrolled Mila in a children's acting program at the Beverly Hills Studio to help her make friends. During one of the showcases for the studio, Mila was approached by entertainment manager Susan Curtis, who wanted to sign Mila on as a client. She agreed and the rest is history.
She was in a relationship with Macaulay Culkin from 2002 to 2011. Kunis told Howard Stern that she never had an itch to get married when they were together.
"Since before Macaulay and I started dating, since I was like, 16, I told my dad, 'Just so you know, I don't believe in marriage.' And my dad's like, 'What did I just create?' And then at one point I was like, ‘I'll get married when gay people are allowed to marry.' I was like, 'This is not for me!'" she said.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, she opened up about her about her eye issues. "I was blind in one eye for many years, and nobody knew," she said. "I'm not blind anymore. I had surgery a couple of months ago. They cut it open and dropped a new lens in there."
Culkin is godfather of Michael Jackson's children. Because of her relationship with Macaulay Culkin, she was good friends with Michael Jackson as well. She was at his private funeral on September 3, 2009, with Culkin.
Her big break was her role on That ‘70s show, but she had multiple roles under her belt by the time she booked the show. Between the ages of 9 and 14, Kunis appeared in about 15 commercials and multiple television shows. She had small parts on Days Of Our Lives, Baywatch and 7th Heaven.
Being only 14 years old when the show started, Mila Kunis grew up on the set of That 70's Show. Ashton was her first kiss, Wilmer Valderrama taught her how to drive, and Danny Masterson was her prom date and bought her her first drink. They are all still super tight.
Kunis lost 20 pounds while rehearsing for Black Swan. She was on a 1,200-calorie-a-day diet and took ballet lessons for hours every single day. She sustained multiple injuries during the shoot, including a torn ligament and a dislocated shoulder.
