You know, the internet is a gift to humanity. We learn so much from it: how to wake up in the morning, how to shower properly, how to know if he’s into us. These are key lessons for our soul and now, one teenager is giving us another reason to love the online world.
Like many innovative discoveries (an apple had to fall from a tree for Newton to figure out gravity) it started with an everyday problem. Lopez told BuzzFeed that she had applied red lipstick. The problem was that she was wearing a white shirt with a high neckline.
People on Twitter are sharing Lopez’s tweet like it’s biscuits on a Turkey day. Everyone is legitimately impressed and wanting to try it. This first world problem was rubbing a lot of people the wrong way.
Lopez may not have been the first to think of this hack. Still, she was the one to post it online, so deal with it. Much like Galileo Galilei took credit for inventing the telescope by using whatever form of social media they had back in the 1500s, so has Lopez marked herself as the mind behind the hack.
Thanks to Lopez, no woman will ever again have to worry about getting dressed before putting on her makeup. No woman will have to say no to a white shirt because of a red lip. Humanity, once again, has been changed for the better, thanks to the online world.
