It can also be really fun to read online restaurant reviews sometimes — they can get pretty ridiculous! And sometimes the reviewers even get into full-blown online arguments with the restaurant owners.
This is what happened when an Australian tourist left a bad review for an Irish restaurant....
While on vacation in Ireland, an Australian tourist and his wife decided to stop by a restaurant called Eala Bhan, located in Sligo, Ireland. The restaurant-goer accidentally left his jacket at the restaurant, and it all goes downhill from there….
Sounds all fine and dandy, right? Not so, apparently. The Australian tourist emailed all of his credit card information to Gray in order to cover the shipping costs. However, the tourists were disappointed when the jacket did not arrive within one week.
So, what did they do about it? They decided to take their anger to the internet, leaving a less-than-favorable review (pictured) for Eala Bhan on TripAdvisor, with the title, “HONESTY NOT DELIVERED” and three out of five stars.
Apparently they didn’t think the entire experience was THAT bad, as they mention in their review that “the food was quite reasonable.” Nope, apparently the deal-breaker for them was the fact that they didn’t get their jacket at exactly the time that they had requested.
He then went on to say: “I apologize that I had not immediately sent your belongings back to Australia. I should have done a Joe ninety on it and hot tailed it up to the local post office and made your jacket a priority but unfortunately these things don’t always happen the way you may have planned.”
He goes on to apologize to the Australians for not putting their jacket ahead of his other priorities, including his kids, his pregnant manager, and trying to run two restaurants at the same time in the middle of the summer.
