To quote the late, great Biggie Smalls: "And if you don't know, now ya know."
1. The Conspiracy Theories Never Stopped
Despite passing away more than five decades ago, Marylin Monroe’s death remains an alluring topic surrounded by conspiracy theories. The latest theory, fuelled by UFO investigator and ET conspiracy theorist Dr. Steven Greer has resulted in a documentary. The latter, titled, Unacknowledged is based on claims that the late actress was killed by the CIA because she had threatened to leak top-secret information.
According to the documentary, the top-secret information Monroe was planning on leaking was obtained from President John F. Kennedy. It was alleged that Kennedy and Monroe were having an affair during the time of her death. The information was about the alleged UFO that had crashed on a ranch in New Mexico in July of 1947.
The documentary alleges that Monroe was murdered after the CIA orchestrated a murder plot. The murder allegedly happened because Monroe had treated JFK and his brother Robert (he was also allegedly her lover at that time) of exposing this secret. The documentary tells how the actress was threatening to expose the fact that the US had been keeping alien life a secret.
Greer bases his theory on a top CIA memo sent two days before Monroe passed away. The memo, Greer alleges, reads how Monroe’s phone was tapped. Accordingly, the CIA knew about the actress’s threats and what she was planning to do
A CIA representative has addressed the allegations in the new documentary. Jonathan Liu has said that “such claims are baseless and do not merit serious consideration.” When asked why they have not stopped Greer from making allegations of murder against the CIA, Liu did not comment.
6. Greer Talks Murder
Michael Mazzola, the director of the documentary shows Greer claiming that the actress did not die of an “apparent suicide” despite being the official reason given for Monroe’s death. It was not even a drug overdose, as some have suggested but it was murder which caused her early death. As you can imagine, not everyone is happy about this documentary.
Critics and other skeptics who don’t believe in aliens have criticized the making of this documentary. Many believe that the people behind the documentary are taking advantage of the fact that the cause of the actress’s death is still such a hot topic despite the decades gone by. Clearly, it worked because the documentary is making news, decades after the actress’s death.
Call it fascination with an iconic actress or a life gone too soon but Monroe’s presence cannot be forgotten. It seems that conspiracy theories started in the 1970s. The theories associated Monroe with JFK and with his brother, Robert.
The conspiracy theories and the rumors were so strong in the 70s and the 80s that the case had to be opened once again. The office of the LA County District Attorney opened the case in 1982 to investigate whether Monroe’s death was more than “apparent suicide.” The investigation led to nothing, however, as no real evidence was found to back up the rumors.
In the documentary, Greer reinforces the allegations of Monroe being murdered. He suggests that he is in possession of top-secret documents. Greer alleges that evidence from top-secret CIA papers suggests that JFK had shared top-secret information about the Roswell UFO incident with Monroe.
In the documentary, Greer claims that he has obtained a top-secret memo the CIA had created two days before the actress’s death. In the memo, it is suggested that JFK had told the actress that he had visited a secret air base. He also claims to have a transcript of a phone call between the actress and journalist, Dorothy Kilgallen.
Allegedly, Monroe was upset when both brothers broke up with her. She planned to get revenge by holding a press conference and revealing everything she knows. “We have a number of smoking gun documents, including a wiretap of Marilyn Monroe on the day before she died, which has never been declassified,” Greer says.
Greer adds how Monroe, “was threatening to hold a press conference to tell the world what Jack Kennedy had told her during pillow talk about having seen debris from an extraterrestrial vehicle at what the document calls a ‘secret air base.'” It was for this reason that the actress was murdered by the CIA. At least, this is what Greer is alleging.
Greer, who is also a member of the UFO and alien disclosure community believes, like the other members, that the government “is colluding with the governments of leading technological nations to enforce a global UFO and ET ‘truth embargo.’” Greer concludes how Monroe’s death was, “a tragic situation because she was an actress, she didn’t understand the national security state and the viciousness of those who want to keep these kind of secrets.”
