In a series of photos on Imgur, Schuyler Benson shared an incredible story. It started in 2009 when he tried to log into Facebook on his phone. But instead of asking for a password, he was already logged into Facebook ”” under the account of a stranger, Celeste Zendler.
Schuyler (posting as Celeste) asked for help on how to log out. But he couldn't seem to find a log out button. He was stuck. In addition, Facebook also appeared to change Celeste's last name from Zendler to Benson.
The mystery continued for a few more days, with Schuyler posting as Celeste, and Celeste responding as Celeste. Neither could figure it out, but judging from their posts, they weren't too happy to have to deal with this annoying situation.
Schuyler said that he finally gained the ability to log out of her account after she sent him a friend request. "She's admitted that she intended to delete me a few days later," he said, "But it turns out we had a lot in common." So they started chatting.
It seems like the makings of a romantic comedy, but it happened in real life to Schuyler and Celeste. "I found my partner, my best friend, my great love via a simple glitch in social media," he said. "There are awful things in this world, but sometimes there's beauty, too. This is my beauty."
