1. The Balding Man

Media Source

The balding white male is the most stigmatized group in America. No, I’m kidding. They’re not even close. But, it is a sad thing. Nothing ruins Jude Law’s perfect face more than a scraggly patches of fading hair. I’m sorry, Jude.

Losing your hair must be difficult. With each passing day your hairline recedes further, you lose that look of youthful vitality even if you’re still in your ‘20s. In fact, some men begin losing their hair in their teens.

But ... Hey Jude, don't be afraid. There are some options out there for you.

2. Hair Transplant Route

Media Source

For bald guys who want a more permanent fix, hair transplants are an option. It’s a process where doctors transplant hundreds to thousands of follicles from one part of your body to the top of your head. The procedure isn’t pretty, and it certainly isn’t cheap. A hair transplant can cost up to $15,000.

You also run the risk of it not looking good or natural. (We're talkin' about you, Tobias Funke.)

3. A More Traditional Route

Media Source

If you don’t have an extra $15,000 dollars lying around, you can get something a little more economical: a toupee. You can get a hairpiece for anywhere between $100-$500, and there is a monthly maintenance fee. So, they can still be quite costly.

However, toupees have a bad rep. When one thinks of a toupee, only the most unappealing images come to mind. But one company is trying to change that.

4. Quiff & Co

Media Source

A new British company, called Quiff and Co, has emerged and their ads have been popping up all over social media. The company makes high-end hair pieces with a modern flare, perfect for all the young balding millennial hipsters. The pieces are designed in the cut of a quiff.

5. Excuse Me A What?

Media Source

Not to be confused with vaginal flatulence, a quiff is a particular hairstyle where the top portion of hair is brushed upward and back, away from the forehead. The hairstyle was popular in the ‘50s and has recently had a resurgence in popularity among the millennial generation. The modern quiff is very short on the side, with a large section of hair combed backwards over the top. A perfect hairstyle to hide your male pattern baldness under.

6. Founders

Media Source

Quiff & Co was founded by a couple, Anthony and Stevie, from Surrey, England. They say that they have worked for over seven years trying to develop the perfect non-surgical hair replacement. That’s because for one of the founders, the struggle is real.

7. Stevie Is Quiff & Co's Number One Fan

Media Source

Stevie started going bald at 16-years-old. He is now 26-years-old and is almost completely bald on the top of his head. You have to admit, he looks closer to 36 years old on the photo on the right.

8. How To Apply

Media Source

To attach the toupee, or quiff piece, you must apply a special glue to the top of your head. Some say that ideally, the top of the head should be shaved before applying an adhesive hair piece. However, Stevie seems to glue it on directly on top of his thinning hair. You then just style it however you want. The hair can stay glued onto the scalp for up to six weeks.

9. You Can Get It Wet

Media Source

Yes, you can get the quiff wet and it won’t turn into a gremlin in the middle of the night. You can easily swim, take showers and get caught in the rain without having to worry that your quiff will fall off. Quiff & Co does recommend more frequent re-grooms if you are an avid swimmer, though.

10. Removal

Media Source

Quiff & Co recommends that the adhesive be replaced every three to four weeks. The adhesive can be removed with a solvent release spray. And not to worry; Quiff & Co claims that these products don’t do damage and do not affect your natural hair (or, what’s left of it).

11. Cost

Media Source

So, these things don’t come cheap. A fully tailored quiff costs about £2000, which is almost $2,500. You also need to get the quiff replaced every 6 months or so, which costs another £1,000 (over $1200).

12. Why Not? Girls Do It

Media Source

If you find this incredibly vain, or silly, just remember that women wear hair that isn’t theirs constantly. The lengths that some of these women go to are pretty ridiculous, too. I literally mean lengths. Nicki Minaj just went to Paris Fashion Week with extensions down to her ankles.

Still think quiffs are weird?

13. Third Option

Media Source

There is also a third option when dealing with male pattern baldness, and it is by far my favorite. Just embrace it. Come on, bald guys! Think of Jason Statham, he is hot AF and totally bald. Bruce Willis is pretty cool too.  Not only is this the cheapest option, it’s probably also the only option you can live with for the rest of your life.
