Middle school is a rough time in everyone's life. You're expected to take on more responsibilities, and the looming threat of adulthood draws ever closer. While all this is going on, your body undergoes a hurricane of change.
Phil Mick is an Auburn, Indiana native that had been bullied all throughout elementary school. It got so bad in his final year that he was afraid to go to his first day of middle school. He confessed this to his mom, who decided to do something about it.
"When you hear an 11 year-old-kid talking about getting kicked and picked on all because they don't have as much money or wear nice clothes, being overweight and then having an 11-year-old son myself, it reached down deep and hit me."
He knew it would touch others, so he put out a call.
That may have been enough to lift Phil's spirits. But that wasn't all. The bikers came with back-to-school presents for the brand new middle-schooler. He received new clothes and school supplies from those who arrived.
