Of course, it takes time to become a great hiker. Wenwen is small, so she started slow. According to CCTVNews, "Her journey began in 2013 when she traveled to south-west China's Yunnan Province. At first, she would walk for a while, but she had to be held for most of the time." Now that she's a seasoned pro, she hikes up to 30 kilometers (18 miles) a day.
Wenwen and her parents lead a simple life on foot. They sleep in tents and eat wild herbs. Her life isn't without controversy, though. Some Chinese citizens are criticizing Wenwen's parents for giving her a seemingly unstable childhood.
