Yazameenah is a sixty-year-old model who has set out to prove that age really is just a number. Her youthful complexion has garnered her countless of modeling campaigns. However, her looks are not by luck! Her physical appearance and health are due to her hard work and clean eating.
Just as many models are headed for retirement, Yazameenah got her start! Although her big break didn't happen until she was 45, her gorgeous looks and white hair have helped her become extremely in demand.
Rossi stunning photo set shows that a swimsuit or lingerie company doesn't need a young, twenty-something model to draw in clientele. Although seeing an older woman in any modeling campaign is rare in the industry, Yazemeenah is graceful and alluring!
The collection is made up of Yazemeenah in a minimal one piece. It's not necessarily meant to be sexy, but instead it focuses on women at a deeper level. It shows women's identities while steering clear of the "hyper-sexualized imagery" in other swimwear campaigns.
We can all agree that Rossi is an attractive woman, but that is not the reason she was chosen as a model in her latest swimwear venture. She was selected because of what she represents.
"This is a woman who radiates health and vitality,” Brooke Taylor Corcia, Dreslyn founder, said. “She’s confident, she’s a visual artist, she takes care of herself. [This line is] all about being a person who’s well-lived and well-traveled and has intelligence and confidence, and letting that shine through."
It might seem like it's all in the genes (and while that may be a part of it), she stays glowing with the help of an everyday household item. Her biggest, age-defying trick is rubbing olive oil on her face...and her hair.
"There are no beauty products I couldn’t live without as I can always find what I need anywhere. My basics are in the kitchen cabinet, but I also use some extra luxuries like various precious oils," she told Daily Star Online.
Rossi also believes that using nothing sometimes is also beneficial to having healthy skin.
"The media makes us believe that we need this or that to have a great skin so that products can be sold," she said." They will never say that in fact the skin has an ability to produce its own protection from the inside. If we put things on the surface of the skin, it becomes ‘lazy’ in a way and doesn’t work to protect itself anymore."
Yazemeenah eats one avocado a day. She basically consumes healthy foods and tries to cook every day.
"Most of the time, I eat organic food and cook it fresh every day. I eat mostly vegetables, fruits, nuts and some good-quality fish and meats. I always lived a more or less healthy lifestyle. Year after year I’ve refined my awareness of what’s good for me and what’s not."
Surprisingly, walking does make a difference. Not everyone has to be a marathon runner to be fit. Any kind of daily physical activity can have a huge positive impact in your health. Rossi aims to at least do some exercise everyday. "I’ve practiced yoga for more than 30 years and I’ll spend between 30 minutes and an hour doing it each day."
For older women, she says not to push your body too much. Above all, Rossi advises not to worry or feel too guilty about missing a day or two of exercise. Instead, listen and respect the needs of your own body.
"I never feel guilty if I don’t exercise for a few days, and when I go back to it I always discover something new. I respect the rhythm of my body."
