Twitter user Maria (AKA @mxxaria) posted that her 12-year-old sister Noor made a Snapchat story after being asked to help peel potatoes. There probably haven't been too many potatoes in the brief history of Snapchat, so what could this be about?
Noor first said that people are a lot like potatoes. Of course, people usually aren't mashed or covered in butter, but let's see where she's going with this.
Noor's point was very clear and struck a chord. Her sister's tweet about the post got over 25,000 retweets.
Besides all the retweets, the post also got tons of responses thanking Noor for her unusual-yet-insightful look at human relations.
Noor had a unique way to discuss equality, but her method certainly has a-peel.
Noor's message is deep...just like potatoes before they're dug out of the ground.
Okay, maybe some praise of the potato metaphor went a little overboard. But at least it's having a positive impact.
Sure, one Twitter user tried to point out an inaccuracy in the potato metaphor, but when you're spreading a message of peace and unity, it's probably best not to over-think it.
Potatoes may be known for being full of eyes, but sometimes you can also find a potato that's all heart.
