Angela Clayton is an 18-year-old from Long Island, New York and she is changing the fashion game, one gorgeous costume at a time. When you see her work, you’ll be shocked to know that she started to sew and design only three years ago.
Thanks to trial and error and the internet, Clayton has created some amazing work with next to no experience at all. She is now using the internet to teach others with her Youtube Channel filled with tutorials, designs and more.
For this look, she re-created the outfit from Raphael and Giulio Romano’s Portrait of Doña Isabel de Requesens. Aside from the side seams and the boning channels, everything else was done by hand, including the beading and embroidery.
She meant to make a gown inspired by the live action ball gown, but when she went fabric shopping, she got distracted by all the sparkles and glittery fabric, so she made this Cinderella dress on a whim!
Her favorite design so far is this beautiful Christmas Angel dress. The dress is made of organza, a few dozen yards of tulle, gold ribbon, wreath mesh, glittery garlands, fabric poinsettias, and made complete with LED lights.
