On July 14, Mohammed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, a Tunisian terrorist, deliberately drove his cargo truck through a crowd in Nice, France. Eighty-four people were killed, and 202 were injured.
In the ensuing chaos, this baby, less than a year old, was separated from his mother, Yohlaine Ramasitera. To find the child, Ramasitera turned to an interesting source...
Facebook. Ramasitera immediately got on Facebook and started asking for help.
This translates to:
"If you see this child: CONTACT ME
A friend of Ramasitera, Pastor Rebecca Boulanger, saw her post and began to mobilize the community to search for the lost child. Within two hours, their posts were shared hundreds of times.
The baby had been found and taken to safety by an unidentified woman. She found the posts by Ramasitera and Boulanger and quickly contacted them.
Here is the baby, reunited with his mother. All thanks to a people working together over social media.
Amidst all the horrors going on in the world right now, a story about cooperation and community is refreshing to hear. It gets a big "Like" from us!
