Few things in life are certain. The old quote says that "Nothing is certain but death and taxes." But there is one other certainty. And that's the fact that googly eyes on inanimate objects make everything better.
One person who would definitely agree with that is Bulgarian artist Vanyu Krastev. That's why he started an art project called Eyebombing Bulgaria. And now, when you look at many objects around his town, they are also looking back.
The website also says that "The goal (of Eyebombing) is to...give sunny and warm emotions to the passing people." And sometimes, the sunny and warm emotions are given to the objects themselves, like this suddenly happy spot on a wall.
Before the googly eyes, this post was quite an eyesore. But with the googly eyes, it becomes a living thing...that's also completely terrified for some reason. But maybe you'd be terrified to if you were an inanimate object that suddenly came to life.
We're not sure what the red stuff is on this spherical object on the street. Is it paint? Blood? But we do know that when you add googly eyes to it in just the right spot, it looks very similar to the guy on the Pringles can.
If you see these Eyebombed objects in person, you might be tempted to strike up a conversation. Or you might be tempted to scream and run away, because a tree has suddenly grown eyes and a mouth. It's really up to you.
Now when people walk through an area struck by Krastev, they may encounter many characters like this one. Is this how Sesame Street got started? Are all these objects going to start singing or giving lessons on the alphabet?
