The show was a huge hit, but Marriott decided life in the public high wasn't for him. So he went back to work: "I started a business for myself and everything has been great. I did my first job... I got it, and literally was almost in tears."
On this 2000 special on Fox, an unseen millionaire selected nurse Darva Conger to be his bride, and they were married live on TV. Naturally, the marriage didn't last, and it was quickly annulled. After appearing on the cover of Playboyand winning a bout on Celebrity Boxing, Conger returned to nursing. She also spends time raising her autistic son, Cassius.
In 2005, Canadian singer J.D. Fortune won the reality competition show Rock Star, allowing him to become the new lead singer of Australian rock band INXS. He left the band in 2011, was the subject of the 2013 documentary Chasing Fortune, and released the solo album Seven in 7in 2014.
