Disney is here for many things but primarily, it’s here to make our dreams come true. From the movies to the lands, the characters and the magic, Disney excels in bringing a dose of wonder to the world. And now, with Star Wars under its wing, it is set to take fans to their happy place.
It’s not like people have ever stopped talking about Disney. But over the last few years, Disney has been discussed more than usual in the media. This is because of the work that’s being done to create Star Wars lands in Florida and California.
3D designs and sketches of the lands have already been released and they look extraordinary. The people at Disney have said how these lands will take visitors to another world. Really, 2019 can’t come sooner for Star Wars fans around the world.
Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts confirmed the rumors. During the D23 Expo, Chapek announced the hotel which will be entirely inspired by Star Wars. The place will be “part of the new Disney 360 vacation concept.”
The hotel will give guests the chance to experience “an entirely new form of Disney storytelling.” Chapek explained how “from the second you arrive, you will become a part of a Star Wars story! You’ll immediately become a citizen of the galaxy and experience all that entails, including dressing up in the proper attire.”
“Once you leave Earth,” Chapek adds, “you will discover a starship alive with characters, stories, and adventures that unfold all around you.” The hotel is 100 percent immersive. “Every single minute of your day” is set to be a Star Wars inspired experience.
Many rumors are going around about the hotel. One is that the hotel will offer guests a “2-day story set in the Star Wars universe and taking place both at their resort and within Star Wars land.” During those two days, guests can expect many things.
Things like “personalized interactions with Star Wars characters and performers throughout the Starship resort.” There are also the standard things such as an all-inclusive Star Wars meal experience. Guests will also “engage in story ‘quests’ and missions throughout the Star Wars Starship Resort and Star Wars Land.”
As yet, Disney has not released prices. Rumors have been going around about prices too but there is nothing concrete yet. Although, it’s safe to say that an immersive experience of this kind will not come cheap.
Having said this, regardless of the price, people are going to want to give their money to Disney. If the hotel lives up to the hype, then people are going to want to go there. People are going to pay money to get lost in another world for two whole days.
We’ll have to wait to know more about this hotel. For now, though, Star Wars fans around the world can freak out and dream. In two years’ time, they could have the chance to experience the world of Star Wars and get lost in it.
