When it was announced that Kate Middleton is pregnant with her third child, people were delighted. It meant a break from tradition (it’s been a while since a royal had more than two kids). Plus more kids = more photo ops, more royal news, more cute baby clothes…etc.
You see, men around the world have a hunch why Prince William got his wife pregnant around this time. They believe that he did this so that the birth of his third child would fall right around the 2018 World Cup. And really, what’s more important than soccer for Europeans?
So it’s clear that this theory is not that outrageous when you think about it. Of course, nobody except the immediate family know when the baby is due. However, we do know that Kate hasn’t reached her 12 weeks of pregnancy just yet.
What we do know is that Middleton is in the early stages of pregnancy. However, news of the third child had to be released as Middleton had to cancel some of her appearances since she is once again suffering from severe morning sickness. That’s not something you want to share with the world…
But regardless, men around the world have done the math. They believe that the birth will fall somewhere around the World Cup. This means that the prince will have two weeks paternity leave to watch soccer.
Now, other men are even considering doing the same thing. At least, they’re tweeting about the fact that if they get their misses pregnant now, they too could get some time off to watch a bit of soccer.
Also, if you’ve never had a baby before, you should know that the first few weeks can be very stressful. You have a newborn on your hands and you have to make sure you keep the fragile little thing alive. That takes work.
Finally, hormones are still raging when a woman gives birth. So, unless you want your love to smash your TV screen when she catches you watching soccer rather than helping her with the baby, you might want to think about getting her pregnant for some free paternity leave. Just fake being sick and spend the day watching soccer, it’s much easier and way less expensive.
