So when something like Olive Garden’s Never Ending Pasta Pass day comes around, I expect some excitement. Carbs make people happy damn it. Why should we give it up for the boring grilled chicken or the tiny but awful brussels sprouts?
[Managing Editor's note: Brussel sprouts are delightful...DELIGHTFUL.]
For those who are too into their carbs to think of anything else, the Never Ending Pasta Day pass by Olive Garden has been happening for the past four years now. That’s a lot of carbs that you’ve missed if you didn’t know about this.
What this pass will do is give you access to an unlimited number of pasta dishes, breadsticks, soup and salads for two whole months. You could go into a carb coma with such power and no self-discipline.
Maybe it was because the Olive Garden made the pass valid for longer that got people so excited. You see, in the years before, the pass was valid for seven weeks. This year, however, the pass is valid for eight weeks — that’s another week of pasta galore.
The date for the all-access pasta mania starts on the 25th of September. So 22,000 people in America will be bloated, slightly nauseous because they ate too much and high on carbs. But hey, what’s new about that.
