If you have carpet, all you need is some electrical tape to turn any room in your house into a really cool maze. This will keep your kids busy for hours and if they get bored, you can just make a new maze.
If you don’t have any sand laying around, use sugar. Spread the sugar on a tray or in a box and your kids can use a pencil, pen or straw to sketch and draw. When they are bored with their design, they can simply shake it up and start all over again.
You don’t need to go anywhere to go camping. Pitch a tent in your living room, turn the lights down and build your own campfire using paper towel rolls and a lamp or candle. You’ll have to make your s’more’s in the kitchen.
Use red yarn and make crisscross patterns all over your hallway. Your kiddos should try to make it to the other side without touching any of the “laser beams." If they touch one of the beams, they will have to start over at the beginning.
Use painter's tape to make cobwebs in a doorframe. Make little spiders out of construction paper or aluminum foil and throw them at the webs to try and make them stick. Whoever gets the most spiders to stick wins!
