Of course Beanie Babies are at the top of the list. Not only did they introduce us to the joys of collecting, they also taught us a tough lesson about economic bubbles.

Using only three tiny buttons, you determined the entire life and well-being of your digital pet. It was exhilarating!

Today you can special order American Girl dolls who look just like you, but back in the '90s, we just had to pick the historical character doll that came the closest. (Shoutout to my girl Molly!)

Some time during the '90s, someone jokingly pitched the idea of selling cheap, useless chunks of plastic to kids...and then that person became a millionaire. 

Hot Wheels were cool (duh), but Micro Machines were cool and adorable.

Any accessory that doubled as a weapon was a must in the '90s (bonus points if it came in hundreds of fun colors). That's the inspiration behind my new line of Kick Rings and Choke Chokers.

If you were a young girl in the '90s and your desk wasn't vomiting puppies and rainbows, you were basically a loser, loser, double loser, as if, whatever, get the picture, duh.

Kids today are so spoiled with their "smartphones" and their "complete songs." All we got was 30 seconds of terrible sound quality. And it was enough.

This kid gets it.

Why go outside and exercise your whole body when you could stay inside and move only your fingers? Exactly.

These were great, until they inevitably got bent out of shape and had to be thrown away. If you listen closely you can still hear the sound of creaky plastic echoing across the decades.

For when you wanted to eat candy, but you didn't have any candy.

Why did we want these? Did we know they were terrifying? I need answers!
