The idea of being separated from your best friend is enough to make any human being weep, and the same goes for dogs, just like these adorable furry friends, Chewy and CC.
Chewy and CC were dropped off by their owner at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa and refused to be separated.
While the shelter could've easily put them up for adoption separately, they decided to make them a "bundle" — if a person wanted to adopt one of them, they were getting both.
I mean, look at them! They're practically the same person — er — dog!
"Their bond is undeniable, so they must be adopted together," a worker at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa explained.
To zero surprise whatsoever, it only took a few months for Chewy and CC to find their forever home.
The pair was adopted by Amber Riley, who is an animal lover. She has two other dogs and three pigs!
What started out as quite the tragic tale (the owner needed to get rid of them after their baby was allergic), ended up with a most happy ending.
We're so relieved to know that they weren't separated.
They certainly make an odd pair, but that's what makes it even better. Chewy is huge and hairy (hence the name), and CC is tiny and likes to drape himself all over Chewy.
We're so stoked these guys have a forever home! If you know someone who needs a pick-me-up, tell them to read this story. They'll be glowing from our feels for days.
