You can't relax if you need to go to the bathroom and you can't relax in the bathroom if you know that people can see your feet under the stall. You don't need Kathy from accounting to recognize your shoes and know it was you that was pooping in there. It's time to make these stalls go all the way to the floor so you can do your business in private! What are we waiting for?
Every place that you travel to has a different way that they tax their goods. Why not make things a little easier? Every price tag should reflect the final price with the tax included so the buyer knows what they are actually going to pay.
Because of high speed trains, is so easy to travel from country to country in Europe. If we did this in the United States, we wouldn't have to drive cross country or rely on planes. We can travel, explore and save a lot of money doing it.
Your employer may say that you get a lunch break, but these breaks should be mandatory. No sitting at your desk and eating while you are working. No scarfing down food in the small amount of time you are allotted in a sad cafeteria with florescent lights. You should have a nice long lunch break to help you regroup before you conquer the rest of your work day.
Everyone should have the right to an education, no matter what their financial situation is. In Germany, there are no undergraduate tuition fees at public universities for German students and internationals. All they charge is a small fee for administrative fees. Should we move to Germany?
You know that 3pm crash. We've all felt it. You can't keep your eyes open, your brain isn't working and your body is begging you for a nap. Well, we should take one. Everything should shut down and allow us to nap it off before we finish the rest of the day. Naps are important.
We need to all get on the same page. We need to use the same metric system. The difference between fahrenheit and celsius is so confusing and totally unnecessary. Why can't we all use the same measurements across the board!? Unity people!
Sure, most jobs allow vacation days and sick days and personal days, but do you ever really use them? And when you do, you are often made to feel guilty for using them. It should be encouraged that people get a break from their jobs.
How great would it be if you could workout at work? You could go to work a half hour early and get a little workout in and then shower before your first meeting. You could workout on your lunch break or even right after work while you are waiting for traffic to die down. Talk about boosting your quality of life!
Being a server is rough. If you have never worked in a restaurant, you are lucky. It's dirty and messy and you have to deal with difficult customers who tip very little or don't even tip at all. Why don't we go European and give servers a higher hourly wage? There would be less pressure on the customers and the servers would be much happier.
If every fast food joint had beer, the world would be a happier place. Much of Europe is already ahead of the game, but the US needs to catch up. A burger, some fries and a beer makes the world go round.
"The U.S. stands almost entirely alone among developed nations that lack universal health care."
New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, Canada, Chile, Ireland, Estonia all have Universal Healthcare. If the United States could jump on the band wagon we would be healthier, happier and freer as a nation.
