Over 13 years ago, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey stole everyone’s hearts in the movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. While you may have seen re-runs of the movie a million times since it first premiered, here are some bizarre facts about How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days that you may not know.
If you blinked, you may have missed Katherine Heigl’s appearance in the movie. During the sequence of magazine covers in the beginning, she is one of the models on the covers of a "Composure Magazine". Go back and watch the scene and you just might see it.
Towards the end of the movie, there is a party scene where they play two songs from two different Audrey Hepburn movies: The "Sabrina theme" from 1954’s Sabrina and "Moon River" from Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
What you may not know is that Kate Hudson was quite the improvisor during the filming process. It was Kate’s idea to throw the crudite at the boys in the boys night scene. She told the director she was going to do it and didn’t tell anyone else.
She also planted a big fat kiss on Matthew McConaughey without telling him in the scene where Andie smothers him with kisses after she gets the dog. That look that Matthew has after was genuine because he had no idea she was going to do that. Surprise!
Kate and Matthew had such an awesome time filming together that they decided they wanted to work together again in the future. Well, they did in 2008 in the movieFool’s Gold. Don’t remember the movie? Yea, me neither. But what about that How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days?
